Wilhelm Karl Schwalger
Wilhelm Karl Schwalger was born on the 28th August 1848 in Wismar,Mecklenberg,Guestrow,Mecklenberg-Schwerin, Germany. His parents were Joach Heien and Maria Sophia Schwalger. He married a samoan lady name Silafaga a daughter of Alesana Lauano and Pau Collins of Malie on the 4th of July 1894, they have four boys, Fritz, August, Hans and Martin, and one girl Otille Lutzie Bentzen.
Martin Paul Schwalger was the youngest son of Wilhelm Karl Schwalger and Silafaga Lauano. He married Saipisa Vaita Nakiso of Fagatogo, American Samoa on 8th May, 1928 at Fagatogo. Seven children emerged from this relationship. They are: Dorothy Ernest, Shiela Rona, Frieda (died when only 16 months old), Florence Hazel, Martin Sonny, Karl Paul, and Wayne Robert. Shiela , Florence, and Martin have all passed away and only Dorothy, Karl, and Robert are the surviving children.
Martin also had two children from a relationship with Luisa of Leauva'a prior to marrying Saipisa: a girl named Pauna and a son named Tele'a, both still living. While Martin was still married to Saipisa he had an illegitimate son named Sauao. He is one year younger than Robert.
Martin died at the young age of 49 (26 February, 1954).
